KAYAKING & TREKKING GREEN ROAD

The tour is a great combination of kayaking and trekking. Kayaking in the wonderland of karst topography with 3,000 limestone islets and trekking through the national park with great view of Halong Bay from mountains’ summits. The trip was design for paddle amongst islets, visit hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches, floating fishing village and talk with local fish-man and trekking through jungle to see the panorama of Halong Bay from one of the mountain summits.

Day 1: Cruise Halong Bay (L, D) ~ 160km ~ 3.5hr

Depart at 08:30 to Halong Bay. On the way we will have a short break for refreshment at a handicraft centre. Upon arrival in Halong City. Welcome on board and enjoy welcome drink, check-in to your cabin. Lunch with fresh seafood is served at 1:30pm. Starting cruise into mystic Halong Bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations. Stop in floating fishing village, with its unique way of life for kayaking on first day at Dark and Bright caves then head to the island for swimming, sun bathing. Dinner and overnight on the junk.

Notes: Easy kayak around 1hour.

Day 2: Kayaking Halong Bay (B, L, D)

After breakfast, the small boat pick up for whole day kayaking at 9:00. Cruising to kayak in Bai Tu Long Bay, paddle through the tunnel and emerge into a crater lake, surrounded by impenetrable cliffs and gliding kites. The trip to this cave is dependent upon tidal conditions. After that, continue explore the mystical bay with a lot of swimming, hidden beach or lagoon cave – an untouched one with sparkling stalactites in different formations. BBQ lunch on beach or on boat. Late afternoon, cruise back mother boat for dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3: Kayaking and transfer to Cat Ba Island (B, L)

Breakfast on boat. Transferred by support boat to Lan Ha – Bai Tu Long Bay for continue kayaking in Dau Be Island, Monkey Island. Stop for swimming. Lunch in Monkey island area. In the afternoon if time and weather permits we can paddle in Lan Ha Bay and paddle to Cat Ba Island. Bus transfer from Cat Ba Dock to hotel. Check in hotel and free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel on Cat Ba Island.

Day 4: Trek Cat Ba National Park (B, L)

Breakfast in the hotel before taking a beautiful drive to Cat Ba National Park. Trek thru the park (4 hrs) to Viet Hai Village where you have lunch in a local house. After lunch you walk to the dock and transferred by boat back to Cat Ba town around 5 pm. Overnight at hotel on Cat Ba Island.

Notes: Trekking around 2hours.

Day 5: Cat Ba Island – Hai Phong City – Hanoi ~ 120km ~ 2.5hrs (B)

Breakfast in the morning and free at leisure. In the afternoon, we take hydrofoil to Hai Phong City. We meet our bus in Hai Phong and transfer back to Hanoi. Trip completes.
